Scott R. Dutenheofer - Chairman

Scott was born in 1942 in Elmira, New York.  His family moved to California in 1946.  Scott graduated from Garden Grove High School in 1959 and attended Fullerton Junior College.  His family moved again to Pennsylvania in 1962 and he served in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1965. 

After being honorably discharged, he continued his college education at Harrisburg Community College in Pennsylvania and graduated on the Dean’s list with an A.A. degree.  He then transferred to the Northern Illinois University business college where he graduated in 1970 with a B.S. with a management specialty.  Afterwards, he moved back to California and has lived in the City of Orange where he has actively been serving in his community for the last 30 years. 

He resides with his wife Judy and they have one married son and one grandson who was recently adopted from the country of Kazhazstan Scott’s previous community involvement includes service to his church as a member of various boards, Moderator, Sunday school teacher and evening church Bible study leader.  He is currently serving as an Elder.  He has served as a member of the jail team ministry for 15 years and is involved in a new Kid World ministry involving parents and children.  He has served as a leader in a local Bible Study Fellowship class for 10 years. He is a member of the Orange Chamber of Commerce and is serving as an officer in the morning networking group.  He is also serving as a member in the Orange Chamber governmental affairs committee.

Dutenhoefer, CLU is the founder & president of BCIS Insurance Services, Inc., established in August 1995.  BCIS Insurance Services, Inc. is a multiple line personal & business insurance agency specializing in individual and group health insurance plans.  Scott became a licensed agent in 1971.  Scott received his Chartered Life Underwriter designation in 1983.  In 1993 Scott became a Series 6 registered representative enabling him to offer mutual funds and related financial products.  Scott has recently expanded his agency empowering customers to make informed decisions.
