Tom Keisler Vice President Florida Operations

Tom KeislerTom was born December 16, 1973 in Jacksonville, Florida. He grew up surfing near the beaches of Northeast Florida. He is one of four siblings and son of Reverend Tom Keisler. He attended Fletcher Jr. and Sr. High School in Neptune Beach where he met his future wife, Heather, in the seventh grade. They married right after high school in 1992 and have now been married over fourteen years. They have four children, three daughters: Kristin age 12, Jordan age 9, and Destiny age 7 and one son, Tommy age 6. He is very committed to his family and spends much of his time involved in his children’s school and extra-curricular activities including, Little League Baseball, Girl Scouts, Tiny Tots Performance Basketball, PTO and chorus.

Tom attended Florida Community College of Jacksonville and after completing the academy there, received his Basic Law Enforcement Training and State Certification in 1999. He then joined the St John’s County Sheriff’s Office in St Augustine, Florida in 2000 and is currently working towards his Bachelors in Criminal Justice from Vincennes University. Tom worked as a road deputy for almost two years before transferring to the position of school resource officer and teaching the SAVE program to public school students. After two years, he joined the investigative unit of the Sheriff’s Office and worked as a detective for the Property Crimes Unit before acquiring his next position in the Persons Crimes Unit. During this time, he served as a hostage negotiator on the Crisis Intervention Team and currently teaches student drivers education for the St John’s County School District. Tom currently has resumed the position of school resource officer working with kids again at the school level.

Tom is dedicated to his community and volunteers his time to Special Olympics events and to his church, Turning Point at Calvary Baptist Church. He and his wife volunteered as the youth leaders for two years at their previous church and have taught Sunday school for kindergarten, middle and senior high boys at their current church. Tom enjoys the outdoors and frequently takes his family biking, skating, skiing, fishing, snorkeling and camping. He is also certified in open water, advanced and rescue scuba diving.   

Tom was introduced to the Dad’s Club two years ago by John Farace and was very impressed with their commitment to the children of their community. He expressed an interest for having such a beneficial organization available in his own community and has accepted the challenge to begin the first Dad’s Club in Florida. He recently accepted the position of Vice President of Florida Operations and is very excited to begin reaching out and making a positive difference in the lives of the many children in his community.
